HSC Covid-19 Incident Management Team Situation Report April 3, 2020 11:05am

Updates will be provided on this website by the Unified Command twice daily. Total reported positive cases in Wyoming is 162. Hot Springs County test results to date include: 15 tests, 0 positive HSC residents, 1 positive test (Washakie County resident), 12 negative, 2 pending.

Our data this afternoon will begin showing the number of individuals in Hot Springs County asked to isolate at home. The number of individuals asked to isolate at home will be a running total and may not reflect those who have been cleared to discontinue home isolation.

What is the difference between isolation and quarantine? Isolation is staying home and separated from others when you are sick to prevent transmission to others. Quarantine is staying home and separated from others when you are well, to avoid transmission from others.

HSCMH and Red Rock Family Practice continue to follow the guidelines issued by the Wyoming Public Health Laboratory to prioritize testing.  Remember, most people with Coronavirus do not need medical treatment beyond fever control and oral fluids. There is no vaccine for COVID-19. If you think you have symptoms of COVID-19, please call your primary care provider and tell them you believe you have symptoms. You may be asked to self isolate. Individuals at home on self-isolation will be contacted by Hot Springs County Public Health. If you have questions regarding how to self isolate at home, please contact HSC Public Health @ 307-864-3311.

Thank you for doing your part in keeping our community safe.
