HSC Covid-19 Incident Management Team Situation Report May 21, 2020 at 4:45pm

Please note:   Wyoming state numbers will be current in our morning reports.  Any changes in our Hot Springs County numbers will be finalized in our afternoon reports.

Hot Springs County Public Health was notified this morning Thursday 5/21, of two (2) more Positive Test Results, bringing the number of identified active cases in Hot Springs County to:        NOTE...one of the positive tests here is a resident of another county, so though they are isolated here in Hot Springs County, their number is moved there. Please recall our first positive test who was a Washakie County resident.  Sorry for that confusion, but that is how it is done.   THE OFFICIAL NUMBER OF IDENTIFIED ACTIVE CASES IN HOT SPRINGS COUNTY IS SIX (6)

Wyoming Department of Health and Hot Springs County Public Health continue utilizing contact tracing to conduct the investigation into anyone who may have had direct contact with the positive individuals.  It is believed one (1) active case here in Hot Springs Co. is connected to the previously announced cases in Washakie County. The others here are considered community spread. The contact tracing for the first three (3) positive cases is winding down. If you have not been contacted, you are not considered a direct contact to those individuals. A Contact Tracing investigation by Wyoming Department of Health and Hot Springs County Public Health is ongoing on the other new positive cases.

Continue to be careful in all your activities. Do not let down your guard. Covid-19 is not gone. Please...continue working hard to protect yourself and others.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE: FOR THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN TESTED AND RECEIVED NEGATIVE RESULTS, REMEMBER THAT THIS TEST IS A "POINT-IN-TIME" TEST.   PEOPLE CAN BE NEGATIVE YESTERDAY, AND POSITIVE TOMORROW.   IF YOU SHOULD FEEL THE SLIGHTEST BIT SYMPTOMATIC, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER ABOUT POSSIBLE RE-TESTING.
