HSC Covid-19 Incident Management Team Situation Report April 28 , 2020 10:00am   

Updates will be provided on this website by the Unified Command twice daily. Total reported positive cases in Wyoming is 389.  Current statewide orders remain in effect through April 30. New orders are expected to be effective May 1st. 

Details of the new statewide orders will be announced today (4/28) at 4:00pm by Governor Gordon and State Health Officer Harrist. This announcement will be broadcast on radio as well as on Facebook and YouTube. 

Hot Springs County School District #1 will remain closed for the rest of the 2019-2020 academic year. 

Hot Springs County test results to date include: 

  • 34 tests completed (number corrected by HSCMH 4/27 @ 4:45p)
  • 2 positive test results 
  • 2 probable cases 
  • 1 recovered (results unavailable for Washakie resident)
  • 32 negative test results
  • 0 pending result
  • 47 individuals asked to isolate at home

Wyoming Public Health Lab has now expanded the capacity to test for COVID-19. This will provide Hot Springs County the ability to collect more samples for evaluation. According to the CDC a wide range of COVID-19 symptoms include: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell. These symptoms range from mild symptoms to severe illness. These symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus.
