HSC Covid-19 Incident Management Team Situation Report April 18, 2020 10:15 am

Updates will be provided on this website by the Unified Command  daily on the weekend.  Total reported positive cases in Wyoming is 305. Hot Springs County test results to date include: 26 tests, 2 positive, 22 negative, 2 pending,  36 individuals are on home isolation in HSC. Home isolation means the individual has not been tested (due to the testing criteria and limited test supplies) but is reporting COVID-19 like symptoms.  Home isolation is calculated a running total from the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Coming next week. To assist in meeting Hot Springs County needs, Unified Command will be offering a Question & Answer opportunity for community members. Questions will be emailed to the HSC Public Health office. The questions will be answered by our CHO, Dr. Vernon Miller MD and our local Healthcare Providers. Responses will be posted on this link and HSC Public Health facebook page. More details to come.  A URL will be provided on Monday to the new FAQ page.

CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Examples are grocery stores, convenience stores, and restaurant food pick ups. CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus. Wearing face coverings may help decrease the transmission to others if you have the virus but are not showing symptoms.

Thank you for the outpouring support from our community in providing masks.  Please contact HSC Public Health if you are willing to help provide masks @ 307-864-3311.
