The Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Nursing, is seeking a full-time nurse for Hot Springs County, 40 hours a week. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, maternal family health programs, prenatal and postpartum visits, Welcome Home visits, lactation and parenting education, and case management of Children with Special Health Care needs. Additionally, adult and child immunizations, long term care nursing assessments, communicable disease testing, surveillance and follow-up. Also assist with community wide prevention goals, collaborate with certified prevention specialist, and work with Public Health Emergency Preparedness.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR/ MECHANIC
The Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking motivated individuals looking to join our proactive team. We have both Detention and Patrol Deputy positions available. We are looking for candidates to help us maintain a safe, community orientated, approachable law enforcement presence within a great community.
Potential candidates should be at least 21 years of age, a United States Citizen, and be a high school graduate or equivalent. Candidates must possess a current driver’s license with a safe driving record, no Felony convictions, and no misdemeanor Domestic Violence convictions. Candidates must be of good moral character (as determined by a thorough background investigation), be free of any physical, emotional, or mental condition which could adversely affect the performance of the duties of a Peace Officer (as determined by a complete medical examination and comprehensive psychological test), and be able to pass a health-based physical fitness assessment. Wyoming POST certified officers are preferred, but not required, as training will be provided. Hot Springs County Sheriff’s Deputies actively patrol the Towns of Thermopolis, East Thermopolis, and Kirby, Wyoming; as well as all areas of the 2004 square miles within Hot Springs County. Duties include (but are not limited to): proactive patrol of the county, response to calls for service and critical incidences, conduct investigations, be a presence in community activities, oversee court security and escorts, initiate arrests, perform civil and criminal paper service, assist other agencies as requested, etc.
Candidates should expect to participate in a physical fitness test, pass a written cumulative exam, and complete a board interview. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a background examination, drug test, medical test, physical exam; he or she must be eligible for Wyoming POST certification requirements. Successful candidates will be required to attend the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy’s Peace Officer Basic in Douglas, WY within one year of start date (unless already a Wyoming POST certified Peace Officer, entering as a lateral transfer, or able to challenge from another state).
